About The Summer Symphony Festival

The Worcester Youth Orchestras encourages you to join us for our  second summer orchestra festival!

Open to all new students grades 8 & up, and current WY Symphony Orchestra members, we are pleased to offer this intensive 5-day program of live, in-person orchestral playing. You do not need to be a member of WYO to participate, this is open to the entire community. 

Rehearsals will take place at the First Congregational Church of Shrewsbury.  All students and staff are required to be vaccinated for Covid-19.  WYO Artistic Director Jonathan Brennand leads our first summer festival as conductor joined by other WYO faculty and coaches.

Tuition includes daily full orchestra rehearsals, sectional coachings with professional coaches, workshops with guest conductors and speakers. 

A final free performance will be held on Friday, June 24th at 6:30pm, open to the general public.

To Apply & Register

Open to all students, you do not need to be a member of WYO to participate, wind/brass/strings/percussion going into grades 8 and up. 

Please sign up for an audition using the WYSO guidelines. (2 Maj Scales, 1 Minor Scale and two contrasting solo works)
